I did so contracting and this is what I teach others. The traditional way is played out.

So many of us are so stuck into thinking that if we stay with a company for xyz years, it will pay off. It won't, especially if your boss is already use to you going over and beyond without extra pay.

I tell people to look at their job like a relationship. You would not be with someone who keeps promising you the moon and have yet to display it with their actions. You deserve better so pick better. Nice article, keep speaking your truth.
